Each team consists of four members, one catcher based on a bronco horse and three ground crew members. The catcher catches the clean skin calf with a lasso and the ground crew leg rope it to the bronco panel, scruff it to the ground, brand and ear mark the calf. This is a timed event, with each time having to catch three calves. The top eight teams go into the final round. Scores are added together from the two rounds to select the winners.

Each team consists of five members, two catchers with ground crew, who do exactly as the singles team except one round with each team having to catch five calves, the quickest time recorded is the outright winner. In this event the competition pressure is placed on the ground crew to keep up with the catchers.
